Good to know

Questions, answered

What age should my child start lessons?
Most kids are ready for piano, ukulele, or voice around age 5 or 6, and guitar, violin, and drums around 7 or 8. We also love teaching adult beginners, it is never too late to start.
Do we need an instrument at home?
For piano, a simple keyboard is fine to start. For guitar, violin, and ukulele we can help you rent or buy a well-fitted starter instrument. Drum students can begin with just a practice pad and sticks.
How long are lessons and what do they cost?
Weekly private lessons run 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Pricing is a simple flat monthly rate based on lesson length, with no registration fees, and your first trial lesson is free.
Do students perform in recitals?
Yes. We host two relaxed, family-friendly recitals every year, one in winter and one in spring. Performing is always encouraged, never required.
